 Before clocks were made, time was told by the way the sun moved.  The word clock was first used in the 14 th century, it’s from the Latin word “clocca” which means bell. Introduction

 In the early 1750’s, Benjamin Banneker invented the first clock.  He got the idea of making the clock from studying a pocket watch he got from a wealthy associate.  After studying the watch, he made a fully functioned clock made out of wooden pieces.

 Peter Henlein made the time piece, better known as a wrist watch in But in 1878, Sir Sanford Fleming made it more accurate.  Christian Huygens made the clock more accurate when he invented the pendulum clock, better known as the “Grandfather Clock”, in  The clock that’s used in our every day life is called the quartz clock, It was invented in 1927 by Warren Marrison Changes of clocks over the years
