This is encouraged and driven by political, economic and trade agreements with cross border cooperation enhancing such effort  better ability to secure borders and manage and control movement of goods particularly in the context of national security  Technology & standards maturing has helped support implementation of such infrastructure  private trading hubs or single windows are emerging and the effort is moving towards integration of processes that help enterprises manage the entire business process in an extended enterprise context
