What is a Mill Dog? 3

Dogs are confined to overcrowded cages and receive inadequate food and water. 4

5 I S U E S HEALTHHEALTH H

Mill Dog #251 As a breeding dog, #251 lived 7 years of her life, in a small wire cage, with no human contact and no vet care. She was never taken outside of her cage. 6

Lily National Mill Dog Rescue was inspired by #251, named Lily. Theresa Strader rescued Lily from an auction in Missouri and founded NMDR in February 2007 in her honor. 7

Humble Beginnings NMDR was initially located at Theresa & Rich Strader’s family home in Black Forest. 8

Soon volunteers were coming to help…

And only two years later… NMDR moved to a new facility in Peyton, Colorado. 10

NMDR Mission Statement To rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home discarded breeding dogs and to educate the general public about the cruel realities of the commercial dog breeding industry (c) (3) Non-Profit Rescue Rehabilitate Re-home Educate What is National Mill Dog Rescue?

How does NMDR help dogs? Volunteers save dogs from mills in several states and transport them to a safe place. 12

The dogs are then transported to NMDR headquarters 13

Once there, the dogs receive all the care they need 14
