Bigot: A person who is obstinately and unreasonably wedded to a particular religious creed, opinion, practice or ritual.

Purpose of Tonight’s Message: 1.Expose prejudice 2.Expand our view of God 3.Express God’s heart for all nations

Beyond Roots by William McKissic Noah’s Three Sons by Dr. Arthur Custance

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 3:14-15 For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom His whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name….

14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. Revelation 1:14-15 His head and His hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; and His feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

Blacks in the ancient world “Scripture, science, and secular history attest to the fact that dark-skinned people were politically, culturally, and numerically dominant in the ancient world and were the fathers of civilized society as we know it today” (McKissic 16).

Genesis 10 (page 6) Origin of all ethnicities…

Acts 17:26 From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.

Biblical origin of ethnicities Ham means “dark, black”  negro, mongoloids, Indians Shem means “dusky, olive-colored”  Arabic & Jewish Japheth means “bright, fair”  Caucasians

“According to Burnett Hanson, M.D., it is possible for a man to father three children with three different complexions—one ‘black or dark,’ another ‘dusky’ or ‘olive-colored,’ and the third ‘bright or fair’—by the same woman….In order for this to take place, either the man or his wife has to be dark complexioned or both of them could have been dark. Dark-skinned people can and often do produce fair complexioned offspring; however it is genetically impossible for bright or fair complexioned persons to produce dark-skinned children. Based on this analysis, Dr. Hanson concludes that in order for Noah to have fathered three sons by the same woman, with all three sons having distinct complexions ranging from dark to bright, Noah or his wife had to be black or dark-skinned” (McKissic 16-17).

Arthur Custance, PhD in Anthropology, Noah’s Three Sons: “Without becoming involved in the technicalities of genetics, it is possible that Ham may himself have been a mulatto [mixed race]. In fact, his name means “dark” and perhaps refers to the color of his skin. This condition may have been derived through his mother, Noah’s wife, and if we suppose that Ham had himself married a mulatto woman, it is possible to account for the preservation of the negroid stock over the disaster of the flood.”

Genesis 2:7 (page 2) Adam formed from dust of ground: Adamah (Hebrew) = ground Adam (Hebrew root) = reddish brown, ruddy, or taken out of red earth!  ADAM WAS A MAN OF COLOR!!

H.G. Wells, noted historian: “Perhaps the more ancient races of men were all dusky or black, and fairness is new.”

Sons of Ham 1.Cush (Ethiopia) Cush [Hebrew] = “black” Ethiopia [Greek] = “a man with sun-burned face” 2.Mizraim (Egypt)

Psalm 106: They forgot the God who saved them, who had done great things in Egypt, 22 miracles in the land of Ham and awesome deeds by the Red Sea. (See also Psalms 78 & 105)

Mark Hyman, a Black journalist and historian: “A melanin test was taken from the skin of an Egyptian mummy…the melanin proved the Egyptian was black.”

Sons of Ham 1.Cush (Ethiopia) Cush [Hebrew] = “black” Ethiopia [Greek] = “a man with sun-burned face” 2.Mizraim (Egypt) 3.Phut (Libya – originally meant “black”) 4.Canaan (Palestine area)

Dominant world rulers by race: Ham = 4000 BC to 2000 BC Shem = 2000 BC to 300 BC Japheth = 300 BC to present

Revelation 7:9-10 ….a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, Who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."

Blacks in the Bible Joseph married Ethiopian (Gen. 41:50-52)  Ephraim, Manassah Moses married Ethiopian (Num. 12:1) Joshua came from tribe of Ephraim (Num 13:8) Caleb  tribe of Judah  Tamar Hamitic (Gen. 38) David described as ruddy (1 Sam 6:12)  “adom” // “adam” Lady in Song of Solomon described as black & beautiful (SS 1:5) Wise men were Ethiopians (Mt. 2:1-12) Simon the Canaanite = black apostle (Mt. 10:4) Syrophoenician woman traced to Ham (Mark 7:24-30) Simon the Cyrene (N. Africa) was black (Mt. 15:21)  Cyrenians shared gospel w/Japhites (Acts 11:20)

Blacks in Bible Hamitic countries represented at Pentecost (Acts 2:10-11) Ethiopian eunuch (Acts 8:26-39) Simeon called Niger & Lucius of Cyrene = church leaders (Ac 13:1) Apollos, native of Ham (Acts 18:24)

Did Jesus look like this?

Jesus’ Lineage (recorded in Matthew 1) 1 A record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham: 2 Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers, 3 Judah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar…. 5 Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab, Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth, Obed the father of Jesse, 6 and Jesse the father of King David. Response to Black Islam 1.Cross preceded the crescent 2.Jesus born in 1 st century; Mohammed in 5 th 3.Blacks in Ethiopia were students of Scripture and built churches in Africa before Mohammed ever born!

Response to Black Islam 4. Arab Muslims enslaved Blacks: “The most shocking and revealing discovery of the one hundred-plus books that I have read or consulted in preparation for this work was learning that Arab Muslims enslaved Blacks and was the first nation to target Blacks exclusively for slavery. The Europeans adopted the practice of targeting Blacks for slavery from the Arab Muslims” (McKissic 52).

Purpose of Tonight’s Message: 1.Expose prejudice 2.Expand your view of God 3.Express God’s heart for all nations
