Pierre Hardy French Shoe designer First shoe collection in 1988 for Christian Dior Collaborated with Balenciaga in 2001 Launched his own-name brand of shoed and now bags in 1999 “ As we are not in a period of real innovation, you have to be totally different while also being the same.”

Inspiratio n Pierre Hardy was inspired by the skyline of New York City. He loves the buildings and the volume and the construct aspect of its town. He wanted to pull all this in a shoe.

Rough Sketch Drawing a rough sketch before making a prototype and get a general idea of final design.

Color Choice Pierre Hardy chose black, silver and gold for the shoe. It was meant to recall the glass facades of the buildings.
