Intel ISEF 2012 – Educator Academy 2 High Level Goals Long term goals –Prepare research/inquiry based learning environment –Increase awareness/interest for science Short term goals –Leverage Japan High School Science Championship for interdisciplinary science education –Create Japan Junior High School Science Championship and increase interest among junior high students –Start teacher training for interdisciplinary science experiment –Start Chemistry Contest modification –Implement international Science Camp with effective media coverage –Tie-up with social media widely used for student –Involve MOE Elementary/Secondary Education Bureau for Intel’s STEM activities –Establish closer relation among International Science Competitions in Japan
