A week in our world consists of seven long days,

Days Monday through Friday are days of no play.

However, one day stands where all come together,

To watch players throw and catch a piece of leather.

Saturday, is a day of miracles and upsets,

With teams like USC, Penn State, Florida, and Texas.

To tailgate and party, which are really the same.

And every team begins the year with just one goal,

To play tough all season and win the National Championship Game.

The running backs, receivers, and linemen galore,

Leaving you on the edge of your seat wanting more.

Quarter by quarter the game will slowly progress,

As every single player attempts to impress.

But when it is third and goal with just five yards to go,

The quarterback better complete that touchdown throw.

And you can not deny one of the greatest sounds,

Is the ref raising his hands and yelling “Touchdown!”
