12 Ways NOT to annoy me! In other words… If you listen, you will survive this year!!!

I. Come to class on time!  Standing outside the door and rushing in after the bell has begun to ring will constitute a tardy.  You must be INSIDE the door when it begins ringing to be counted on time.

II. Begin the Do Now within 1 minute after the second bell.  Directions will be on the board.  Please do not wait for me to remind you to begin since I need to attend to other duties for the first few minutes of the period.  When I begin class, directions for the Do Now may be taken down, so don't delay.

III. Use polite speech and body language. How you act outside of my room (either in other classes or at home) is none of my concern. RUDE OR IMPOLITE BEHAVIOR IS UNACCEPTABLE!

IV. Remain in your assigned seat. uuuunless you have permission to get up IIIIf you are given permission, do not disturb others

V. Talk only when permitted.  Be aware of the situation since quiet talking is allowed in some situations  speaking to the entire group without raising your hand may be allowed in others.  I will remind you once and expect compliance.

VI. Do not eat candy, gum or other food in class unless you have been given special permission.

VII. Attend to personal needs before coming to class.  Your locker time is before homeroom, before lunch and the end of the day.  You are to use the restroom during lunch.  Everything I say is vital to your survival, so do not ask to leave unless it is an emergency.

VIII. Do not cheat!!!  If you get caught copying an assignment  (either for my class or other classes)  the evidence will be confiscated.  If it is a test, you get a zero and a phone call home.

IX. Bring required materials everyday unless you are otherwise directed. If you are not prepared, that is not my problem!

X. Follow the teacher's directions immediately.  Keep me happy and I'll do a better job for you!

XI. Accept the consequences for your actions. If you wish to dispute anything, please see me after class.

XII. School is what you make of it. You will get out of this class what you put into it!
