This is Bob. He is going to break the law!

What do you think the law is? It tells you the things that you should not do as they may hurt, upset or annoy yourself and others

Can you think of any laws? Do not steal Do not vandalize Do not hit people Do not kill people Do not drop litter Do not drive too fast There are lots more!

This is not Bob’s house. The people who live here have gone on Holiday

Bob has broken into the house. He has taken lots of valuable things and escaped out of the window

What has Bob done wrong? How would you feel if it was your house? Who will the owners ask for help when they get back from holiday? What might happen to Bob?

Who are these people? The Police What do they do? They make sure people do not break the law or catch them if they do

What has happened to Bob? He has been Arrested by the Police because he broke the law.

Bob has to go to Court. A Judge and Jury decide if he is Guilty.

Bob was guilty so he was sent to Prison. Not everyone goes to Prison. Some people pay a fine or have to help people in the community

Why do you think that we need to have laws?
