Lumina Community Partnership for Attainment Application Information Webinar September 3, :00 am – 12:00 noon EST

Why Are We Here? Who is Lumina? Why are we investing in communities? What are we trying to accomplish? Haley Glover, Strategy Director

Goal 2025: To increase the proportion of Americans with high-quality degrees and credentials to 60 percent by the year 2025.

What do we mean by… Partnership Health The community is working collaboratively to achieve common goals, using agreed-upon accountability tools and measures, and utilizing data to make decisions about program direction and design Equity Communities explicitly identify and develop action plans to address chronic attainment gaps between populations, particularly between racial/ethnic groups Attainment Communities build support for and action plans around the principle: Access + Success = Attainment

Why Equity Matters Fourteen states represent 46 percent of the total U.S. population. Those states have a population age five and under that is majority non-white. By 2025, half of the nation’s workers, or more than 50 million, will be of Latino descent.

Lumina’s Equity Imperative Postsecondary Degree Attainment Lumina recognizes that, to make effective change in higher education, equity and excellence must be at the center of all its efforts to reach Goal 2025.
