About the Aztecs The Aztecs lived in Mexico,( ), at the same time the Tudors were living in England. The Aztecs were powerful and warlike group of people. They spoke the Nuhuatl language and believed in many Gods. Read on to explore many awesome facts about the Aztecs. The Eagle Warriors are the top rank of the warriors. Before they become a warrior They have to catch three enemies to be a Jaguar warrior but to be a eagle warrior you have to catch four or more. Jaguar warriors had round shields with turtle shells and feathers on. They used shields to attack there annoying enemies. The Eagle warriors had wooden clubs that were extremely sharp.

Food and Drink The Aztecs ate tacos that were like English crisps. They had pancakes too. They drank fresh water like us but didn’t have squash, lemonade, coke and Pepsi. They had a plot of land on the edge of Tenochtitlan. They grew maize there.

Aztec Homes Ordinary Aztecs live on the edge of a small island called Tenochitlan.The houses have thatched roofs and matting beds inside. It has white wet paint to make the house cool from the reflection of the sun.

Aztec Gods Montezuma was one of the Aztec gods who also ruled Tenochtitlan. He wore a head dress and carried a spear. Tlaloc was a god aswell as Montezuma but at different times.

Aztec buildings The emperors royal palace was built on two levels. It was a enormous building. In the building there was a zoo, little bedroom and a fireplace. They only had little furniture in one room and had very low tables in the dinner room. Ladies spent most of there day looking after there children,cooking or weaving clothes. To tidy up there clothes they had a wooden chest to put them in.
