Map of places she went This is a map of where Elizabeth traveled to cure paralysis
How she built her way up to be a nurse First: she helped her brother build a body that was not frail Next she became a bush nurse Then she traveled around the world to help cure polio in different places After that she showed the dr. & nurse counsel her effect her treatments gave to her patients Lastly she traveled back to her home town in Toowoomba, Australia & died of Parkinson's disease
Her life beginning to end To wrap it all up Elizabeth Kenny grew up in many places such as, Guyra, Nobby, Queensland, & Toowoomba in Africa. she was one of many children. When she was 8 she fell off a hoarse and broke her wrist so she had to go to a hospital in Queensland and be treated. While there she grew fond with her Dr. Dr.Mcdonnell. She also soon became interested in medical things so Dr.Mcdonnell taught her every thing he knew. Then came the moment she could trust him she told him that her brother was frail and needed to build mussels so he gave her books to study and as soon as she got home she built a model of the human being showing all the mussels and how they moved. So from then on she worked with her brother to make him nonfrail and soon she succeeded. From there she became a bush nurse and then that’s when it happened she had to face the first case of paralysis but since it was her first case she sent an urgent telegram to Dr.Mcdonnell asking for help he sent one back saying you have to hope for the best so she thought & thought & soon she got the idea. She took an African wool blanket & ripped it into strips and put it into a pot of boiling water. Then she wrapped them around the Childs stunned leg & soon the child feel in a deep sleep & when she woke she then stated “unwrap these cloths that well my legs”. From then she built up and soon joined army hospitals and worked on dark ships then she tried to show and get other doctors to agree to her methods but failed then she made her own nursing home and treated many patients soon she got so popular she had patients coming on stretchers so she invented the Sylvia stretcher then after that she was heard so she worked at a hospital and years later died of Parkinson's disease.GuyraNobby QueenslandToowoomba
