Golf History  Golf originated in Scotland in the early 15 th century  King James II, banned golf in 1457  In 1744 is when the first rules of golf were originated  The Dutch called golf “Kolf” which stands for club.  The Dutch and Scottish then came up with Golf  In the 1900’s is when golf courses established 18 holes of golf.
