Ancient Celtic

Celtic Homes The Celts lived in huts, and the Celts in England lived in round houses. They had a fireplace to cook food. the food.

Food Meat, potato, Milk, cheese, cereals and vegetables were the main things they ate (the most common food is potato ).

Inventions The Celts were the inventors of the harp, Uilleann pipes, horse shoes, and even a dance called a jig. u

Military The Celts were feared by most people including Rome. They won many wars. They used a big charge to wipe out there opponents. They used spears and swords in battle. They were normally buried with their weapons. Their weapons determined how good a warrior they were; for example if you were a good warrior you'd get a fancy sword if you were not good you`d get a not so fancy sword. Bad fighter swordGood fighter sword

Celtic Story One time one of the Celts leaders was killed by a Roman leader. The Celts were angry so they marched into Rome and demanded the Romans give them the leader. Rome said “no”. The Celts were super angry. They went into Rome and defeated a Roman army on the way. They demanded gold; in fear the Romans agreed. Then Brennos, the Celtic leader said “vae victos.” which means woe to the defeated. The Celts then left not harming anyone except those who stood in their way. That is why the Romans called the Celts barbarians.

Another Celtic Story There once was a little Celtic boy who had a sling shot. He was separated from his father but the father still remembered what he looked like. Sadly the boy did not remember what the father looked like. One day the boy was playing his sling shot when his father walked with other soldiers and the king. The king wanted to kill the boy because he accidentally shot his sling shot and it almost hit the King. The first soldier went over with his sword and demanded the boy fight. The boy agreed and they began to fight. The boy pulled out his sling shot and fired a rock at the soldier. The boy had won! The second soldier was knocked down as well. The boy’s father was ordered to kill the boy. The boy’s father noticed that it was his son. The father remembered what the king had said and being loyal to the king; the boy’s father grabbed the boy and put his head in the lake. The boy died.

Down Fall The downfall of the Celts was because of three reasons. First was due to old age. Second was due to the fact that a few Celts died because the Romans killed them. The third reason was because about one third of the Celts wanted to kill the other one third and they died.
