3 Extreme poverty cannot be reduced to an economic measurement ATD FOURTH WORLD denounces the injustice, powerlessness, shame, humiliation and social exclusion experienced by those living in extreme poverty They are the ones first subject to having their human rights violated

13 Striving together to end Extreme Poverty Recent highlights  Creation of a video clip with the children living in the communities for the 20 th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (Tapori campaign)‏  Initiate skills training project with teenagers living in the communities (e.g. silk-screen t-shirt printmaking)  Opened the community center at Thon Buri District, directed by a committee made up of local residents of the communities  Filmed a video about human rights overseen by members of the community with UNESCO and friends of ATD in commemoration of the 60 th anniversary of the Declaration of Human Rights
