Aspirus Core Values Defining Who We Are Values clearly define the behaviors we choose. –They are what we hold to be right, worthwhile, and desirable. –They guide our organization. Values support our Mission, why we exist, and our Vision, aspiration for our future.

Aspirus Core Values Defining Who We Are Mission Statement Aspirus is an integrated, community-governed healthcare system, which leads by advancing initiatives dedicated to improving the health of all we serve. We work collaboratively with others who share our passion for excellence and compassion for people. Vision Statement Aspirus is the region’s health care system of choice. We deliver value, innovation, excellence and compassion.

Aspirus Core Values Aspirus – Previous Values Service: We exist to serve those who choose us. We care compassionately and serve with excellence. We help one another serve better. Community: We are interdependent. While unique as individuals, we are bound together in service, with a deep respect for human dignity. We are great partners. Integrity: We honor our commitments. Our actions are accountable, ethical, and consistent with the trust given us. We use resources responsibly. Improvement: We continuously strive to make things better. We commit to providing a safe environment. We look forward to competition as an opportunity to improve. We lead.

Aspirus Core Values Case for Action Current values in existence for over ten years. - A lot of changes these past ten years. Strategic Plan: Outlined - need to review and, if necessary, revise. Developed an action plan with a core team.

Aspirus Core Values Defining Who We Are Team has been engaged for the last 12 months. Action Steps: Held focus group sessions with over 300 individuals across Aspirus, with staff, management, physicians, volunteers, and Board members. April – May Provided feedback and gained additional input from SLC – June Aspirus Management – August Forum Shared draft of Values with focus group members – September Presented final draft to SLC and received approval – October Reviewed and received approval from Aspirus, Inc. Board – January 2011 Introduced to Aspirus leadership at Management Forum – March 2011

We strive to exceed expectations by showing utmost concern for their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Excellence – We create, innovate, and embrace change. We provide superior quality, showing measurable results. We always aim to improve. We provide a safe environment for all. Integrity – We honor our commitments. We treat everyone with dignity and respect, being consistent with the trust given to us. We are accountable for our actions. Collaboration – We work well together across the Aspirus system. We partner in service with people and organizations that share our vision. We value our workforce. We are active in the community. Fiscal Accountability – We prepare for the future of health care wisely. We effectively and efficiently manage resources, providing excellent and affordable services that ensure a strong future.
