Those who have sacrificed 48 million citizens have served in the Armed Forces since million have died while serving Tens of millions have been injured They are our mothers and fathers, our sons and daughters, our neighbors and friends

Let us match the commitment of our Veterans by coming together as a community to care for them

Let us live up to the words of Abraham Lincoln “…with charity for all, … let us strive on to finish the work we are in: to bind up the nation’s wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle … to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves …”

Homeless Veteran Needs Housing Job training and vocational rehabilitation Mental Health care Primary and Specialty care

Current Housing Opportunities for Homeless Veterans 25 contract residential community residential 42 Grant and Per Diem 120 HUD/VASH 200 living situations

Veterans Village Creates 75 additional living situations (35% increase) Supportive, intermediate-term housing environment Dignified living situation Onsite resources:  vocational rehabilitation counselors  mental health professionals  homeless case managers This is not a homeless shelter for transient

Veterans Village Infrastructure Reduce beds 25% (from 100 to 75) – community feedback Reduce # of stories (from 5 to 4) – community feedback Residents will be screened  No sex offenders or Veterans with violent histories will be permitted Security cameras monitored 24/7 by VOA Regular VA police patrol Creation of a community advisory board

Community Benefits Aesthetic improvements to neighborhood with modern building, landscaping Smaller facility, with less traffic, than other industrial options for the site Neighborhood safety will increase Space created for community gatherings
