6 Eric Carle was born in Syracuse, New York; in the year of Eric Carle moved with his parents to Germany when he was still at a young age. Eric Carle wanted to fulfill his dreams in America. So he came back to America in Eric Carle had done great art and brought that back with him. He found a job very soon as a graphic designer. This job promoted him to the New York Times. Later on in his life Eric Carle became an art director for an advertising job. He stayed with that job for many years. One day Eric Carle and Bill Martin wrote a book together. Bill Martin wanted Eric Carle to illustrate the book. So they made a book called Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? It was a big hit. Eric Carle enjoyed writing for children and soon started writing his own books. Eric Carle’s first original book was 1, 2, 3 to the Zoo. The next book was The Very Hungry Caterpillar which was and still is his biggest hit. Eric Carle writes to make children happy and he likes to relate to them. His operating budget is 2.3 million dollars.
