Presentation transcript:

THE ISLAND: “KNIT WEB OF WEEDS AND TREES; IT WAS EASIER TO GO ALONG THE SHORE, AND RAINSFORD FLOUNDERED ALONG BY THE WATER.” THE ISLAND IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE IT CREATES SUSPENSE AND MAKES ME BELIEVE THAT RAINSFORD IS NERVOUS, BUT ALSO BRAVE TO ACTUALLY GO TO THE ISLAND IS NERVOUS, BUT ALSO BRAVE TO ACTUALLY GO TO THE ISLAND.

THE GENERAL HOUSE- “SPIKED IRON GATE… MASSIVE DOOR WITH A LEERING GARGOYLE FOR A KNOCKER…RAINSFORD LIFTED THE HEAVY KNOCKER AND LET IT FALL”. THE GENERAL’S HOUSE IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE SETTING BECAUSE TELLS ME THAT THE GENERAL IS SUSPICIOUS. I THINK THAT IT IS A SCARY PLACE, BUT THINK THAT RAINSFORD IS BRAVE FOR EVEN GOING UP TO KNOCK ON THE DOOR.

THE BEDROOM- “SPLENDID! ONE OF US IS TO FURNISH A REPAST FOR THE HOUNDS. THE OTHER WILL SLEEP IN THIS VERY EXCELLENT BED” IT IS IMPORTANT THAT IT LETS ME KNOW THAT RAINSFORD WON AGAINST GENERAL ZAROFF.
