THE GOD WHO CALLS Promise  People – more than you can count  Place – more than you can set foot on  Purpose – more than you can imagine All the families of earth blessed – thru you!

Will Abe trust the God of promise or not?  Sarai offers Hagar, the handmaid (16:2)  Expelled– but not forgotten– promise (16:10)  Ishmael (God has heard) is born (16:11)  El-Roi (God has seen me) is the name Hagar gives to God who meets her in her need (16:13) THE GOD WHO CALLS

 Covenant of 15 – All promissory – God  Covenant of 17 – Two way contract  El Shaddai – Walk before me… blameless  Abram  Abraham (Father of many)  Circumcision – sign of the covenant Trusting God to do what God has promised to do! THE GOD WHO CALLS

 Abraham and Sarah – Gen 18 – Sarah laughs, nothing is impossible!  Isaac (laughter) is born – Gen 21  Abe’s Final Exam – Gen 22 – Jehovah-Jireh (The Lord Will Provide) THE GOD WHO CALLS

 Thus, Abraham becomes the one in whom God calls into existence a people (of faith)  Through these people of faith, God intends to restore and redeem His broken creation! THE GOD WHO CALLS
