This animal is the inspiration of many legends and myths of South American folk. Specially for Argentina, Peru, Brazil were the ancient cultures lived with this powerful big cat.

IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF ARGENTINA THERE ARE LEGENDS ABOUT MEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE TRANSFORMED BY MAGIC INTO JAGUARS. THEY HAVE DIFFERENTS NAMES: RUNATURUNCO(NORTH), NAHUEL(SOUTH), YAGUARETÉ ABÁ(WEST)

To become the animal they have to put on the ground a piece of tiger’s leather and roll over it saying the magic words.

They are more fierce, stronger and faster than the common tigers, because for that they’re feared by the people. With their big claws and fangs they can kill big and strong animals like bulls. In some leyends people believe in them like wise and powerfull creatures, and If you were friendly and polite with one of them, It will help you in dangerous situations
