Hydrogen and fuel cell Abdulkadir adamu A

HYPOTHESIS Hydrogen manufactured by the electrolysis of H2O can be recombined by O2 from the air discharging energy at the same time. Hydrogen is burnt to discharge energy at equivalent way as petrol. The main difference is the by-product which is H2O rather than CO CO2

MECHANISM The procedure is vitally the reverse of the electrolytic method of dividing water into hydrogen and oxygen. In the fuel cell, the cathode terminal is affirmatively charged and the anode terminal is negatively charged A membrane separates the electrodes

Hydrogen gas is modified into electrons and protons (positive hydrogen ions) at the anode. The protons bypass across the membrane to the cathode, departing behind negatively charged electrons. This creates a flow of manage present electricity amid the terminals after related alongside an external circuit. This present manipulation and mechanical motor allocated in this circuit.

Production One of the major disadvantages of hydrogen fuel cell cars is the technique used produce hydrogen Presently, hydrogen is produced using oil, natural gas, coal, and nuclear power. These techniques manufacture a considerable quantity of pollution such as CO2. That means the manufacture of hydrogen fuel cells for cars would source at least equivalent quantity of pollution as current cars do by burning gasoline.

Disadvantages First and foremost, hydrogen is a highly explosive gas. hydrogen fuel cars must always be within an operating temperature spectrum, and also have water in their system in order to run.

the technology required to ship mass amounts of hydrogen fuel does not exist which is a major set back and hindrance to hydrogen fuel cell technology Hydrogen fuel is usually produced by a special reforming process of a selection of natural gases and fossil fuels Hydrogen fuel is usually produced by a special reforming process of a selection of natural gases and fossil fuels Many of which are already in short supply, most of them have already been tapped. Many of which are already in short supply, most of them have already been tapped. coal is a major source of pollution and would contradict many hydrogen fuel experts' views on how it should be made. Additionally, it takes more energy to produce the hydrogen than the amount of energy it provides.

SOLUTIONS Hydrogen has to be treated with care when using it to fill a vehicle. Do not convert if your area reaches below freezing, as hydrogen fuel cars must always be within an operating temperature spectrum, and also have water in their system in order to run.

If hydrogen fuel is used in a vehicle, it would consume relatively less to fill it up than a normal vehicle running on typical fuel due to hydrogen fuel cell competence. Hydrogen fuel is exponentially harmless than its usual fuel opposition. Combination with hydrocarbon fuels, combustion is virtually undamaging to the environment or atmosphere. It is even cleaner when combusted alone, because the only by-products are H2O and heat It can be produced in any location fitted with the right technology and can be drawn from as simple a source as water.

If hydrogen energy is fully harnessed, it will be an enormous practical fuel technique for people living in built-up areas, cities and supplementary locations with high contamination or close-proximity structures.
