Audio

Audio is “most” important  Microphones at each station  All on when system on  Room noise is a problem  Cardioid pattern  Be “near” to hear

Audio is most important

Connection Outlets

 There are two panels located at the front of each litigant table with connection outlets for internet, power, display, and audio. (see arrows) Connection Outlets

 Connect your vga cord to your laptop and to the “computer” outlet.  Digital video from laptop will appear on monitor displays, but does not get recorded (can be recorded as multiple still images) Laptop Connection

 Audio can be recorded if played from laptops.  If you have audio with an exhibit, you will need to connect to the audio feed, located beside the monitor connection. Laptop Connection (Continued)

Monitors  22-inch, widescreen display at each station  PDF text is readable  Practice beforehand

Monitor Display  Use your screen  Or use courtroom displays as secondary monitor for your computer  You may have to adjust screen resolution

Internet access  For internet, your laptop must be DHCP enabled  You may borrow a network cable or bring a pass-through Cat5e cable

 If you are not using a computer, you can place documents on the Elmo to be viewed on the courtroom monitors. (You will have to change each page for it to be displayed). Elmo  Letters  Forms  Rules and Laws  Other paper  Best for physical, non-paper evidence!

Elmo Features  Zoom  Rotate  White balance  Focus

Be sure to focus…

…and don’t get in the way

Policy Alert!  Documents presented during an in-person proceeding or produced as a result must be uploaded into the online system  ALJ will submit through the system a Notice of Hearing Record that details evidence and pleadings considered

DVD/VCR  DVDs can be played  DVD shown will be captured on video during recording

Thank you!
