Loss of innocence in Romeo and Juliet Romeo said, “This day’s black fate on more days doth depend. This but the woe others must end” (3.1.124). When the nurse tells Juliet that Romeo has killed Tybalt and has been banished, Juliet asks “O God, did Romeo’s hand shed Tybalt’s blood?” The nurse said, “It did, it did” (3.2.78-79).

Romeo and Juliet Nurse said to Juliet, “I think you are happy in this second match, for it excels your first, o, if it did not, Your first is dead, or ‘twere as good he were as living here and you no use of him.”(3.5.235-238)
