INTRO The Silk Road is a famous trading route that is 4,600 miles long. It used to take half a year for merchants to travel the entire road. The Silk Road allowed merchants and other people to share their goods. The Silk Road is a historically important trade route between china and the Mediterranean. The scenery along the route are said to be, spectacular and intriguing. There are famous caves and different customs.

The silk road TThe Silk Road went from East to West. It started in china and stretched to different parts of Asia, Europe, Egypt, Somalia and India. It helped people from all cultures to not only trade but to learn from one another. People also learned different religions along the Silk Road, one of them was Buddhism. 

Trading and how the silk road got its name  They traded more than silk on the Silk Road. They traded items such as, spices, carpets, blankets, berries, jewelry and fur. Did you know? A worldwide explorer named Marco polo named the route, THE SILK ROAD. It is said that the Silk Road shaped the whole world. 

Chinese clothing Well, the bride wears a red, long gown with Chinese designs. The bride also wears a red veil covering the brides face so no one can see her face. The bride keeps the veil on until everyone has left the ceremony. The groom wears a red suite with Chinese designs and symbols sewed into it, the groom also wears black or white dress shoes that match with the grooms red suite.

WHAT CAN CLOTHING BE MADE OF? Clothing can be made out of leather, fabric, jean material, silk, cotton. For now I am going to be talking about silk many things can be made out of silk like, robes, dresses, night cloths, shirts, skirts and some head wear. I think silk is a very fine clothing material. I wonder what other things can be made out of silk? Materials used were of animal skins and decorations were of small stones and animal teeth. The “real” cloths were not invented, about 5,000 years ago by the yellow emperor.
