The Lantern Community Church is a historic 1908 Alberta Heritage site located in the heart of Inglewood……it is close to down town, the Bow river and parks for outdoor photos. The church has two entrances…..this one is specifically for the guest and another is designed as a brides entrance. Many people request that the front 2-3 sidewalk parking spots be marked for wedding cars. We have signs for that….

The brides entrance permits the bride to enter with her family and attendants without having to use the same entrance as the wedding guests. The groom and groomsmen enter thru a side entrance on the west side of the church

The brides entrance leads directly into a vestibule that is closed off with a double set of doors that provide privacy and permit the bride to do the finishing touches with her attendants. This is a perfect spot to pin on flower for mothers and fathers…..also a great place to share a last few moments together

Because there is a separate vestibule for the bride, the groom can escort the moms to their seats without have to see the bride The inside of the church is built in a traditional arts- and-craft style with beautiful word work, a gorgeous curved balcony with vaulted ceilings and stained glass windows. The pews are carved solid oak and are curved to create a warm inviting semi-circular seating arrangement.

The aisles are wide and permit easy entrance for the bride. The vestibule, aisles and front of the sanctuary are covered in a rich red carpeting that highlight clothing and set off the rich warm wood tones of the woodwork and pews.

There is lots of room for the bridal party at the front of the sanctuary and the backdrop is rich oak trim from the structure of the old pipe organ

This wedding required the use of our built-in video projection system (all controlled from the rear of the sanctuary) therefore the reason for the large format screen on the front. Many families incorporate a slide show of memories of the bride and groom from their childhood days into the ceremony. We have sound and Audio Visual persons who are available to complement your requirements for this special occasion

The bride and groom can exit up the right aisle and many families have a receiving line out of the vestibule and down the stairs to permit family and friends to extend their blessing and congratulations
