Rectification Left many economic and political problems unsolved Castro decided to make political reforms in efforts to rebuild the government COMECON (Council for Mutual Economic Assistance) Dissolved in 1991 Relations with East Europe created a verbal war in which Castro fought back Castro created new programs in hopes that this would better the economy Society under Castro changed dramatically Transportation, energy conservation, etc. Main goal: Social Services Trying For Peace
