COMENIUS CAMP 2014 RYBNIK

This year the camp was set in Poland, in particular at the «zespół szkół urszulańskich» in Rybnik.

Our journey started on Monday afternoon, when we had the flight from Bergamo to Krakow. 31/03/2014 – First Day

In the evening we arrived in Rybnik, and our new «brothers and sisters» received us in the school. We spent the evening with them in their houses.

01/04/2014 – Second Day On Tuesday morning Polish students presented their school and we attended an English lesson.

01/04/2014 – Second Day Then we had a walk around Rybnik: we visited the Main Square, the S. Antonio’s basilica and the communist theatre of the city.

01/04/2014 – Second Day In the afternoon we left for Auschwitz and we visited the concentration camps of Auschwitz and Birkenau.

It was really striking and moving seeing with our own eyes the places of this terrible tragedy.

02/04/2014 – Third Day On Wednesday we rolled out of bed at 5.30 a.m.! In the morning we visited Krakow and in the afternoon we went to the Wieliczka Salt Mine

03/04/2014 – Fourth Day It was the last day of the camp, so we did some workshops about human rights. We make some Power Point presentations and also a sculpture!

Free time with our friends

The Comenius Camp is an experience which helps you to grow up and to make new friends. It was a great occasion to improve our English skills. This camp allowed us to know different people with different cultures. Those differences can enrich the relationships with other people. Spending time with foreign guys and speaking with them in English is a beautiful way to make new friends! Finally, it’s been a beatiful experience from the human and cultural point.
