Key goal: to reduce hunger Healthy food for those living in poverty: -affordable & quality food -easy to access - local -regular and reliable supply -provide food adults and children will eat!

Headline challenges Scale & pricing: large quantities for low prices; supermarkets and ‘loss leaders’ How best to join up those who are hungry with food banks, and food banks with community food distribution enterprises and growing projects OR create another model The vast majority of initiatives are small &/or dependent on grants: is a self-sustaining social enterprise model possible?
