Altruistic person(adj.) A fire-fighter must be altruistic (selfless) to put herself in danger to protect others.

To Assent (v. or n.) The child indicated her assent (agreement) with her parents’ rules by nodding her head. We hoped the committee would assent (agree) to our request for more funds.

A Benefactor (n.) The chief benefactor (supporter) of our charity donated a lot of time and money to help those less fortunate than we are.

Chivalrous man(adj.) The chivalrous (considerate) man gave his jacket to the shivering girl next to him.

The Judge’ s Clemency (n.) The judge showed clemency (mercy) towards the defendant because it was his first offense and the child demonstrated real remorse for his wrongdoing.
