 Maybe that somebody is dead...  Or has moved away...  Or has made different friends...  Or is an adult you are too embarrassed to say something to...

 Maybe you have something you want to say to somebody you have only seen on television  Maybe you have something you want to confess, like Joe did  Maybe you just want to tell somebody something nice

Write a letter that will never actually be sent, telling something important to somebody particular. If you are stuck for an idea, then imagine you are Joe writing to Maggie whilst fighting in France, just after he received his first wages.
