When the “Self-Contained” option is installed, water is supplied by filling the Clean Water Reservoir with water and connecting the hoses from the faucets to the outlet fittings from the water pump; the Waste Water Reservoir should be empty. The Clean Water Reservoir may be filled with a hose from the facility supply through the large filler cap on the front of the container which is accessed inside the hinged door on the front of the unit. The water temperature discharged from the faucet is regulated by filling the Clean Water Reservoir with water of the desired temperature.

With the battery fully charged, turn the pump switch to the “ON-RUN” position, the pump will start as soon as either faucet is “opened”, and the pressure drops in the water supply system. The pump will continue to pump water to the basin as long as the faucet is open. When both of the water faucets are “closed”, the pump automatically stops as the pressure builds in the system. When not in use, place the pump switch in the “OFF-CHARGE” position. Failure to turn off the pump switch may cause the pump to start and stop if the faucet is left cracked open.

Waste Water: The sink drain is provided with a flexible drain hose which must be inserted into a floor drain. If a floor drain is not available, an optional waste water container (Model # CB/MSK-P) may be used. The “Self Contained” option includes a Waste Water Receptacle. The flexible drain hose must be inserted into the large “Filler Opening” on the Waste Water Receptacle. The Waste Water Receptacle is positioned to hold more water than can be carried in the Clean Water Reservoir, provided it is drained completely each time the Clean Water Reservoir is filled. The waste water container may be drained into a sewer through the spigot provided on the bottom of the container that is accessed inside the rear hinged door on the enclosed cabinet model. The Waste Water Reservoir may also be removed and emptied through the large filler opening on the top. The clean and waste water containers may be autoclaved.

Battery Pac - 12 Volt and Charger: The sealed lead acid (Gel Cell) 12 volt rechargeable battery pac is located on the right side of the sink under the basin. A rocker type “ON” - “OFF” switch is located on the front of the cabinet along with a female type plug receptacle. The switch must be in the “ON- RUN” position for the pump to run when the cold water faucet is opened. To turn the switch “ON”, press the end opposite the white dot. To charge the battery, when the sink is not being used, the cigarette lighter-type male plug must be inserted into the female plug receptacle on the front of the cabinet with the switch in the “OFF-CHARGE” position. To place the switch in the “OFF” position, push the end with the white spot. (See the manufacturer’s literature enclosed for more detailed instructions.)
