RPM/Belgium N.V. - Version 2 - 31.07.2008 - MPOX GB
Application of Monepox® SL Preparation of the substrate Proper preparation is critical to ensure an adequate bond. The substrate must be dry and free from wax, grease, oils, fats, soil, loose or foreign material and laitance. Laitance and unbounded cement particles must be removed by mechanical methods, i.e. shotblasting or scarifying. Other contaminants may be removed by scrubbing with a heavy duty industrial detergent and rinsing with clean water. The surface must have open pores throughout and have sandpaper texture. RPM/Belgium N.V. - Version 2 - 31.07.2008 - MPOX GB
Application of Monepox® SL Application of the primer Mix the prepacked components A and B of the primer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Apply the primer with a roller or a squeegee at a consumption rate of ± 350 gr./m². Cover the primer minimum 24 hours and maximum 4 days after the application of the primer. RPM/Belgium N.V. - Version 2 - 31.07.2008 - MPOX GB
Application of Monepox® SL Mix the premeasured quantities of component A and component B until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Add gradually component C to the liquid and mix thoroughly for one minute. We strongly advise the use of a mechanical mixer. Monepox® SL is pourable and can be spread out on top of the cured primer by means of a squeegee or large trowel. 10 minutes after the application of Monepox® SL, treat with a spike roller to remove the entrapped air. Average thickness: 2-3 mm. Coverage: 4-5 kg/m² Minimum working temperature: 10°C RPM/Belgium N.V. - Version 2 - 31.07.2008 - MPOX GB
Application of Monepox® SL Application of the finish coat By broadcasting quartz, an aesthetic and antiskid floor can be obtained. Monepox® SL can be finished with a transparent topcoat.
