5 Welding is the joining of multiple pieces of metal or alloy by the use of heat and or pressure. A union of the parts is created by fusion or recrystallization across the metal interface. Welding can involve the use of filler material, or it can involve no filler جوشکاری اتصال چند قطعه فلز یا الیاژ به وسیله گرما یا فشار است. یک اتحاد از قسمتهای مختلف به وسیله ذوب یا تبلورمجدد در سراسر رابط فلزی می باشد. فرایند های جوشکاری میتواند با استفاده از مواد پرکننده یا بدون استفاده از انها باشد.

6 A Brief History of Welding تاریخچه ای مختصر از جوشکاری Late 19 th Century Scientists/engineers apply advances in electricity to heat and/or join metals (Le Chatelier, Joule, etc.) Early 20 th Century Prior to WWI welding was not trusted as a method to join two metals due to crack issues. 1930’s and 40’s Industrial welding gains acceptance and is used extensively in the war effort to build tanks, aircraft, ships, etc. Modern Welding The nuclear/space age helps bring welding from an art to a science.

8 Fusion welding: Is a joining process that uses fusion of the base metal to make the weld. جوشکاری ذوبی : یک پروسه اتصال که از ذوب فلز پایه برای به وجود اوردن جوش استفاده میکنند. 1. Gas welding: جوشکاری گازی Oxyacetylene welding (OAW) جوشکاری اکسی استیلن 2. Arc welding: جوشکاری قوسی Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) جوشکاری قوس فلز محافظ Gas–tungsten arc welding (GTAW) جوشکاری قوس گاز تنگستن Plasma arc welding (PAW) جوشکاری قوسی پلاسما Gas–metal arc welding (GMAW) جوشکاری قوسی فلز گاز Flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) جوشکاری قوسی تو پودری Submerged arc welding (SAW) جوشکاری قوسی زیر پودری Electroslag welding (ESW) : There is no arc جوشکاری سرباره الکتریکی : البته قوسی وجود ندارد 3. 9 OXYACETYLENE WELDING (OAW) جوشکاری اکسی استیلن The Process پروسه این نوع جوشکاری  Gas welding: is a welding process that melts and joins metals by heating them with a flame caused by the reaction between a fuel gas and oxygen.  OAW is the most commonly used gas welding process because of its high flame temperature.  A flux may be used to deoxidize and cleanse the weld metal. Melts, solidifies, and forms a slag skin on the resultant weld metal جوشکاری گاز : یک پروسه جوشکاری است که ذوب شدن و اتصال فلزات به وسیله گرمایی است که به وسیله شعله ایجاد می شود این شعله با واکنش بین گاز سوخت و اکسیزن بدست می اید. بیشتر در پروسه های جوشکاری گازی استفاده میشود زیرا درجه حرارت شعله بالاست. OAW از یک فلاکس هم میتوان برای اکسیزن زدایی و تمیز کردن فلز جوش استفاده کرد.
