2 What is Ed. Mgt. Services Doing to Get Ready for SAMS? Currently, submission of a new or amended COSER is via the prescribed form (paper copy) to our office All current descriptions on file are being inputted to a data base to be put into SAMS When there is a description that needs modifying or some change, our office is contacting the BOCES about it

3 Using SAMS BOCES will use SAMS to submit, amend and review COSERs and communicate with NYSED NYSED will use SAMS for COSER review and approval and communication with the BOCES Initially, no change in the way that COSERs are reviewed and approved

4 COSER Form Set COSER Form Set will be part of the SAMS form tree –

5 List of Active Services (LAS) Lists all services being provided by a BOCES (Currently “PAD Report”) Lists all COSERs awaiting approval Different status’ assigned to COSER during it’s “life” – Deleted, Withdrawn, Active, Amended, New and DS Approved Deleted, Withdrawn and Active can be updated/are assigned using LAS form

7 Amended, New and DS Approved COSERs are updated/assigned by the application based on user action Deleted COSERs cannot be reinstated; would need to be “brought back” as a New Service LAS form will be able to be displayed for different claim years

8 COSER Program Description Form Amend and submit new COSER program descriptions through this form Form shall include a “Comments” section Will include a link to Criteria Guidelines Will not be significantly different from current form Various items will be drop down boxes, other “conveniences”

11 Cross-Contracting Cross-Contracting Form will stand alone on Form Tree This is not a form for SED use and approval – will be read-only for SED Two sections – Services Provided and Services Received Includes a comment field Services Received will be read only; BOCES providing services will need to be contacted in order to make any corrections

13 COSER Reports and Notifications COSER Reports will be run from the “Reports” menu on the main menu bar Will be standard reports available as well as the ability of the user to create ad-hoc reports Many will look similar to the reports and notifications that BOCES are currently use to receiving
