Quality Points Added to Your GPA New GPA Calculation Currently students are given a.17 quality point for any high school honors, AP, and IB class that he or she takes Current 9th (class of 2017), will see all high school honors, AP, and IB classes count as a.17 quality point on their transcript until the summer of In the summer of 2016, all honors, AP and IB classes will be converted to the new 1.0 (for AP and IBDP) and.5 (honors and IBMYP) system. Promotion Policy The requirements for classification of a student at specific grade levels are indicated below: 10th Grade - A student must have earned a minimum of 5 credits, 3 of which must be from the disciplines of English, social studies, mathematics, science, or physical education. 11th Grade - A student must have earned a minimum of 10 credits, 6 of which must be from the disciplines of English, social studies, mathematics, science, or physical education. 12th Grade - A student must have earned 15 credits, 10 of which must be from the disciplines of English, social studies, mathematics, science, or physical education.
