What is The Eliminate Project? A global campaign to eliminate Maternal/Neonatal Tetanus (MNT) A chance for you to change the world

Maternal & Neonatal Tetanus Cause? Tetanus spores, found in soil everywhere Tetanus is contracted through open wounds during childbirth Outcome of Contracting MNT?

Who does the effect? The most underprivileged regions of the world There are still 28 countries being affected by MNT

How do we stop this? It only takes $1.80 to vaccinate a mother and all of her future babies 110 million dollars = over 61 million lives saved Where does the money go? Educating on how to perform clean, sterile gggpregnancies, births and vaccinations

Important numbers Goal: 110 Million dollars by 2015 $1.80 saves a life 61 million lives protected 1 baby dies every 9 minutes

Our Progress Since 2010 we have eliminated MNT in 11 countries As of July 16 th, 2013 $36,648, has been raised.

Miss and Mister Eliminate Requirements to register? $40.00 for contestant registration Any age: freshmen – senior Participation and knowledge of the project, Key Club Why Participate? All Zone winners will be recognized at DCON Grand Prize: $ scholarship

The Eliminate Project Week The Eliminate Project week is set to be held the first full week of May 2014 (May 5 th - 9 th ).
