Visual Merchandising Guidelines for Creating a Display
1. Work from a theme Create a mood. Make sure all pieces in the display work together with the theme.
2. Less is more! Fill the space, but don’t crowd it.
3. Keep merchandise grouped. Don’t spread it out too far. Merchandise should be clean & pressed First step in planning… decide on merchandise to be displayed.
4. Include Accessories
5. Signage Keep it short. Easy to read. Fits theme.
6. Plan for something unexpected A “spark” that makes people stop and look. Vary the heights and depths. Don’t line things up in straight rows.

8. Details Hide pins, staples, tape, etc. Check that everything is clean, including glass. Double check spelling on signage
