Ron Tzur Professor of Math Education Department of Curriculum and Instruction Professor of Math Education Department of Curriculum and Instruction Profile: BS - Mathematics and Geography, 1986, University of Haifa MS - Mathematics Education, 1992, Technion - Israel Institute of Technology PhD - Mathematics Education, 1995, University of Georgia Areas of Scholarly Interest: His research interests include children's conceptions of mathematical concepts and conceptually-based and culturally-relevant pedagogy for teaching children about mathematics. He has previously held faculty positions at Penn State University and North Carolina State University. He has been appointed a Professor of Mathematics Education here at Purdue. However, he will delay coming to Purdue full-time in order to serve as a program officer at the National Science Foundation beginning this month.
