Get Into Energy Women Focuses on increasing the number of women in non-traditional positions Based on the Get Into Energy Career Pathways model Integrates career coaching and mentoring Includes the WISE Pathways 40-hour career exploration workshop

What would a pilot look like? Employer support from energy, construction and/or manufacturing to create a pool rather than a puddle Involves local pipeline organizations, such as Goodwill Industries or a local women’s center Utilizes local One Stops Focused on making the program sustainable

Pilot: Washington, DC Area Washington Gas The leading subsidiary of WGL Holdings, Inc, a public utility holding company serving the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region. Has provided safe, reliable natural gas service to customers in the D.C. area for over 160 years and, today, serves more than one million customers in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.

Why is Washington Gas interested in the Get Into Energy Women pilot? Need a skilled, qualified, engaged workforce to continue to provide superior service to their customers Women represent half of the overall workforce, but, only a very small percentage of our field employees Represents an exciting way to connect with this untapped workforce segment
