The Problem. Adjustment of “Transsexual Persons in Our Society ” Our society does not accept transsexual persons as normal, due to this reason these persons have very limited choices to survive. Most of them beg for money on traffic signals and bus stops, some of them entertain people on happy occasions by dancing and singing in order to earn some money. Our goal is to train them technically in the field of “Textile” and let them survive with others equally. Although they are not that large in number but their presence on traffic signals creates problem for everyone.
Vision/Mission Mission of the institute is to provide skilled manpower to the textile industry. Our vision is to feel everyone as a part of civilized society by providing them technical training. Our society will be free of unethical activities on bus stops, traffic signals and other occasions if this problem is properly handled.
Theory of Change Everyone wants to have dignified social status in the society. Our overall purpose is to bring about this change and to feel these persons as an equal part of our society. Living within their families these people will not only support their families but also become an integral part of the society.
Solution SMA Rizvi Textile Institute was established with the aim and objective to provide skilled manpower to textile industry. By training these persons in institute, equipped with latest machinery and experienced faculty, they will become a part of textile industry. By running short courses in the evening “free of cost”, rather giving a small stipend will make this process fruitful.
Social Impact Transsexual people will be the part of our own society and not a unique creature. Their activities on bus stops, traffic signals and different occasions will not embarrass the families (especially females) anymore. Although the target persons are not that large in number but overall social impact would be unlimited.

Financial Summary Our estimated cost per person (student) over the period of three months is Rupees 6000/=. This includes the remuneration to faculty/ staff and utilities. Minimum 15 students (persons) are necessary to meet the cost. However, larger number of students will decrease the cost. Our survey shows that only in Korangi Area almost 2500 such persons live, by inducting these in such courses our program will sustain for many years. On other hand some of the staff members agreed to work on minimum package. Rupees 2000/ person/ month is the suggested stipend for each of them during training period.
