setting It takes place at home/school. It takes place in school because they are in a lock in. It takes place in There is no specific location for the whole story.

characters Greg-is the main character. He is in the middle of the family. He is dorky and scrawny. Rowley- is Greg's best friend. He is fat,white and covered in freckles. Rodrick-is Greg's mean big brother. He is big and dresses/acts like a rock star. Susan-is Greg's mom. She tries to embarrass him every chance she gets. Frank- is Greg's dad. He tries to toughen Greg up. Manny- is Greg's little brother. He annoys Greg all the time.

plot problem/conflict The problem is Greg does not want to grow too fast. He is afraid of growing pimples and hair like normal teenagers. He is afraid of having to face (the ugly truth.)

plot resolution He does not grow all the things most people do,so he is okay. He just has to face the facts that he is getting older. He will most likely grow them in a couple years.

My opinion I thought it was funny, because everything he does always ends up going terribly wrong. It is also funny because he tries to do everything to talk with “holly”,his crush, but he always ends up embarrassing himself in front of her.
