AAPI student is an invisible crisis. Focus on model minority “success” resulted in less attention to low achievement among AAPI students, leads to neglect of programs and services for AAPI students. This myth ignores how AAPI students contend with the same issues that other communities face. AAPI data masks high levels of poverty and academic barriers. Data on some AAPI groups are nonexistent.
AAPI College Enrollment are evenly distributed in two-year and four-year institutions, with the majority attending public institutions.
*AAPI total includes Asian, Filipino, Pacific Islander. Data disaggregation was not possible given the available data set.
