Student’s rights under FERPA regulations

 To inspect my education records maintained by the school.  In order to do so I need to: Submit my request in writing Identify as precisely as possible the records I wish to inspect  I understand that: The custodian of my education records will make arrangements for me as promptly as possible and will notify me the time and place where I can inspect my record Access will be allowed no more than 45 days after receipt of written request.

 To request that Whitworth University correct any information in my education record that I believe to be inaccurate, misleading, or in violation of my privacy rights  In order to do so I need to: Submit a written request identifying the part of the record I want changed and specify why I believe it is inaccurate, misleading, or in violation of my privacy rights

 To release my student information to parties outside of Whitworth University  In order to do so I need to: Submit written permission to the custodian of my education record identifying the parties to whom I wish the information disclosed.

 To withhold my directory information from all parties, both internal and external to Whitworth University, with the exception of the custodian of my education record.  In order to do so I need to: Submit written permission to the Registrar’s Office by the second week of the semester  It is important to remember that: Directory information will then be withheld indefinitely until the Registrar's Office receives, in writing, a revocation of the request for nondisclosure Whitworth will honor a request to withhold information but cannot assume responsibility to contact me for subsequent permission to release them

 I can review the Whitworth’s FERPA policy located on the Registrar’s web site  I can contact the Registrar’s Office at (509) or
