French Easy Future This PowerPoint was created by Matthew Vernon, here.here

What is the easy future? The future hasn’t yet happened, ‘I will play football.’ ‘I am going to watch Torchwood.’ There are two future tenses in French and this is the most commonly used and by far the easiest. This is probably the one tense that you thought was alright. If not, don’t worry… I’ll teach you everything that you need to know.

How do I form the easy future? Here, you need to use the verb ‘aller’ as a connector verb. Do you remember from the past perfect PowerPoint what the posh name for a connector verb was? The verb ‘aller’ is your auxiliary verb. Let’s move straight on.

How do I form the easy future? Need to know! You need to remember how the verb ‘aller’ is conjugated (that means the different forms). The verb goes as follows- aller je vais tu vas il/elle va nous allons vous allez ils/elles vont Let’s keep going…

How do I form the easy future? Need to know! After you have your ‘aller’ bit conjugated, then you can shove any verb after it to make it into the future tense. The verb that follows must be in its infinitive. This means the original form of it that you’ll find in the dictionary! ‘Aller’ is the infinitive. aller je vaislire tu vas regarder il/elle vajouer nous allonsmanger vous allezécrire ils/elles vontboire Je vais jouer le basket. I am going to play basketball.

Vocabulary in this PowerPoint lire = to read regarder = to watch jouer = to play manger =to eat écrire = to write boire = to drink >>>>

I hope that helped! Matthew Vernon
