My Favorite Character My favorite character in this book is Skulduggery Pleasant. He is the main character in this book. Surprisingly, he is a living skeleton. He has a big ego and dresses well. Also, he is a detective. Skullduggery is protector, mentor, and ally of Stephanie Edgley, alias Valkyrie Cain. My favorite character in this book is Skulduggery Pleasant. The Conflict The conflict involves a monster called the Grotesquery who is about to be brought back to life by a villainous madman named Baron Vengeous. The Grotesquery was supposed to open a portal that will bring back the Faceless Ones, who used to rule the world with evil. Skulduggery, Valkyrie, and their friends Tanith and Mr. Bliss have to battle the Grotesquery and Baron Vengeous to save the world. The conflict involves a monster called the Grotesquery who is about to be brought back to life by a villainous madman named Baron Vengeous. The Grotesquery was supposed to open a portal that will bring back the Faceless Ones, who used to rule the world with evil. Skulduggery, Valkyrie, and their friends Tanith and Mr. Bliss have to battle the Grotesquery and Baron Vengeous to save the world.

The Setting This book was set in Dublin, Ireland in the future.
