 Everyone who is here but especially the class of 1992;  The people who made this project possible;  Our spouses;  Multitudes of people contributing in their own manner;  And Sadaf Khan for asking us to present the project.

1. What was the need and why? 2. How was a solution planned? 3. Who was involved with the implementation? 4. How was the project financed? 5. Is there a measurable impact? 6. Future directions

Tenth Year of Graduation Eternal frustration regarding lack of substantial impact in Pakistan

 This was one of the two difficult aspects of this project.  First question asked was, should anything be done collectively at all?  Second, what should be done?  Thirdly, how should it be done?  Fourth, where should it be done?

 Everyone who was on the class was invited to participate from the beginning to date;  There is NOTHING as Universal Consensus; and there is ABUNDANCE of doubt!  A group of logical participants emerged, who worked with the available information, in the most reasonable manner; some in Pakistan and some in United States.

 An estimate was generated once the project was identified;  Fund raising feasibility assessed;  It is completely financed by the members of the graduating class;  A committed group has stepped up; some known and some pleasant surprises;

 The Citizens Foundation has established 830 school units in 93 town and cities in 54 districts across Pakistan providing quality education to 115,000 children (approximately 50% girls) with an all female faculty of 5,800 teachers -providing employment to 8,800 people nationwide.  All TCF Schools have a pay-as-you-can-afford system, where families are encouraged to make a nominal contribution towards the fees based on their means– often as little as Rs. 10 (US$ 0.12) per month to encourage pride in education.  All teachers and principals undergo training twice a year, before the start of the school and during the summer vacations to enhance their knowledge and equip them with the latest teaching skills.  4,000 students, successful alumni of the TCF Schooling system  9,100 adults became literate at the end of 2011 through the Agahi Program  Admin Costs were 9.2% for 2011

 It is located in Taiser Town, Karachi. The school has witnessed a tremendous response from the community, taking up the student strength to 124.  Current Academic Year started in April 2012 and admissions are being accepted for the entry level classes of Class VI and Class VII.  The campus also employs 11 members of the local community, including 6 faculty members and 5 administrative staff members.

 Get over the class concept and  Get into a common goal concept  And continue to work.
