¡Ea! Vinos de Manuel Manzaneque Suárez ¡Ea! is the personal project of the prestigious wine-maker and vine-grower Manuel Manzaneque Suarez.
¡Ea! Vinos de Manuel Manzaneque Suárez After 10 years being the Enologist and Technical Director in his family’s winery, he decided to live his dream and to create his own project
To develop this project he has chosen D.O. La Mancha because it is one of the regions with the best quality/price ratio in the world. He has looked for old vineyards in different areas of this D.O. ¡Ea! Vinos de Manuel Manzaneque Suárez
These old vineyards and the excellent raw material, turn into these special wines. Fermentation is based on the respect for this raw material. Autocthonous yeast is always used ¡Ea! Vinos de Manuel Manzaneque Suárez
2011 was the first vintage for ¡Ea! wine. It is made by 100% cencibel, that is the autocthonous variety of tempranillo in La Mancha. Cencibel is a bit more rustic and it is well addapted to the climate in the zone, which is extrem in winter and summer
The vineyards are from 40 to 70 years old. The lime and clay soils are poor in nutrients and formed with pebbles, which affords good drainage The vineyard is worked in a traditional viticulture and with low yield per plant, around 15 Hl/ha.
The grapes made a cold maceration for 4 days at 12ºC to extract the smells. Fermentation at 25ºC in stainless steel tanks with autocthonous yeast, respecting the tipicity from raw material. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks Breeding for 6 months in French and American oak barrels (2 nd wine)
¡Ea! won 2 awards in HOFEX 2013 In 2013, ¡Ea! won 2 medals in Honk Kong International Wine Challenge (silver and bronze) In 2014, ¡Ea! won gold medal in the international Challenge Tempranillos Al Mundo in Madrid (Spain)
This wine is hedonistic, pleasant, fresh and fun; a wine to enjoy, made with high quality grapes and with great respect for the raw materials. A great wine with an unbeatable quality / price ratio ¡Ea! is a typical expression in La Mancha that means like “Yeah!”, “OK!”, “It’s good!”
