LITTLE CHILDREN, YOUNG MEN & FATHERS 1 ST JOHN 2: LITTLE CHILDREN 2.FATHERS 3.YOUNG MEN

1 ST JOHN 2: LITTLE CHILDREN I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake. This refers to all those who have come to know Jesus Christ and have received forgiveness of sins An attitude of a little child is required in order to receive forgiveness.

1.LITTLE CHILDREN Features of little children -They want to grow towards adulthood by desiring the sincere milk -They are under the rule of grownups, their parents or guardians. Such is their nature, they cannot but be directed and shaped by the nature of this rule. -Always want to cease every opportunity to transform every pleasant experience into a game or play -They are mouldable -They are resilient in the sense that they always bounce back -Imitators of their ultimate goals – grown up, doctor

1.LITTLE CHILDREN I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake. We are forgiven for His name’s sake! Examples: We do things for our children for our name sake – comb hair, barber, iron. There us reputation to protect Because of His promise concerning us He needs to maintain His reputation by honouring His word. Names of God – For Name’s Sake I am / The gate keeper / Jireh / Shalom etc

2. FATHERS 1Jn 2:13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. -Matured wisdom, experience, knowledge -No one is too old to be written to or preached to -Sometimes due to what we know as adults it becomes impossible to accept directions. -The UK church needs fathers -May God give us fathers who are humble to be written to -If they were of the beginning why do they need these writings again?

3. Young Men I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one -Have the strength to overcome the personal battles with the wicked one -There is a wicked one that is constantly at war with us and will also require the strength of a youth to overcome him.
