Nazi Beliefs Rearm Germany and retake what was lost at Versailles. The German Race (blond, blue eyed Aryans) were the superior race. Anyone else was racially impure and should be removed from Germany. Hitler called the Germans the “master race”. Jews, Gypsies and Communists… were dangerous and should be removed or destroyed. The “master race” needed more living space, known (in German) as Lebensraum. He believed Germany should expand in Russia. Question?

The Stabbed in the Back Theory Hitler and the Nazis believed that they had been stabbed in the back by the German Jews and the German democratic government (The Weimar Republic) at the end of WWI. They would not except that they had lost the war. In reality many Jews had fought in the war and the Nazis used them as a scapegoat (someone to blame) for Germany’s problems. The Nazis also hated democracy and wanted power.
